The most striking visual images we've seen thus far from Neill Blomkamp's Elysium have centered on Matt Damon, decked out in shabby electronics as some sort of low-budget cyborg. It's indicative of the decaying world in which his character, an ex-con named Max DeCosta, struggles to survive by any means necessary and using any tools necessary. The film has DeCosta looking to escape Earth and infiltrate the idyllic space station known as Elysium, where he can cure his cancer and save an ailing child. Previous clips have shown that Blomkamp hasn't lost his ability to balance intelligence with brawny action, and now we're getting yet another look at the anticipated sci-fi film. The latest clip has Damon's character waking up in haze after being outfitted with a new exo-suit. He'll need it to break into Elysium while avoiding Secretary Delacourt (Jodie Foster) and her secret police led by Kruger (Sharlto Copley), who want to keep him and all others from Earth out.
