Bradley Cooper to Produce 'Limitless' TV Series

In the same calendar month in 2011 we saw two actors generally known for being man candy rather than legit thesps make dramatic turns in their career. One was Matthew McConaughey in The Lincoln Lawyer, and the other was Bradley Cooper in Limitless. It's expected that McConaughey will become a Best Actor nominee for one of his many great performances this year, but Cooper already reached that level with Silver Linings Playbook. And now he's taking the film that sparked his career resurgence and bringing it to the small screen.

Cooper will exec-produce a Limitless TV series, working alongside Relativity Media and Georgeville Television. It's unclear who will act as showrunner at this point, but we can expect the central plot, which followed an unsuccessful writer who gains super-intellect after downing a secret formula, to remain intact. The film also involved shadowy organizations and a heavy dose of paranoia, so we can probably count on seeing those elements involved, as well.

Relativity has been making a killing bringing their feature films to television. They currently have 17 shows on air, including the Catfish series based on the hit faux-documentary. They also have a small screen version of military film Act of Valor on the way. [Deadline]
