First Poster for 'Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit' Starring Chris Pine

Tom Clancy's empire of best-selling geopolitical novels, espionage video games, and blockbuster films made him arguably the most successful author in the world. Sadly, Clancy passed away today at the age of 66, on the same day that Paramount has released the first poster for Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, featuring the character he will always be most closely associated with.

Starring Chris Pine as a young Jack Ryan, the story takes place before his time in the CIA and has him attempting to stop a billionaire's terrorist plot. Pulling double-duty is Kenneth Branagh who directs the film and stars as the villain. Kevin Costner and Keira Knightley co-star, and assuming it doesn't get pushed back we can expect to see Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit on Christmas Day. It's notable the poster doesn't give a clear release date, so perhaps Paramount is already exploring other options
