Everything we've seen of Disney's Frozen suggest that they aren't exactly looking to break new ground, and why should they? After a years-long dry spell the animation department is clicking on all cylinders after recent hits Wreck-It-Ralph, Tangled, and the Princess and the Frog, and now they hope to keep the good times rolling with their upcoming icy princess tale.
A new trailer for the film has been released, and it sheds some of the Ice Age-style humor and draws a bit more from the Hans Christian Anderson source material. Kristen Bell voices Anna, a royal princess on the hunt for her sister Elsa (Idina Menzel), who has cursed the land with an eternal winter. The animation remains a strength, and the jokes should be great for the kiddies, but the central song is too Disney even by Disney standards.
Frozen will finally thaw out on November 27th.
