Um, wha?? Bruce Campbell Blames Internet for 'Army of Darkness 2' Rumors

After years of bogus chatter from Bruce Campbell and others associated with an Army of Darkness sequel, you'd think people would learn to take everything said on the subject with a heaping amount of salt. Especially when it comes to the chatty Campbell who never misses an opportunity to hype up the possible return of Ash Williams, and did so just a few days ago while "confirming" the iconic hero would return for the film. And apparently, Bruce Campbell doesn't think we should take anything that Bruce Campbell guy says seriously. It's only because of the Internet that anybody listens to him. What you talkin' about, Willis?

Yeah, while talking to The Pop Fix, Campbell blamed the Internet for reporting on the Army of Darkness sequel that he himself won't shut up about....

Campbell: "It's not news. Let me dispel that right now. It's all internet B.S. There's no reality whatsoever. These random comments slip out of either my mouth, or Sam Raimi's mouth, next thing you know we're making a sequel. So, unless it's announced from like Renaissance Pictures, it's not real."

So what the Hell has he been running his mouth about then? And for that matter, what did Fede Alvarez mean when he said the film was Raimi's priority right now, even over Evil Dead 2? Eh, who needs answers to legit questions when Campbell can just spread more blame around....

Campbell: "Or unless you have a start date, or release date. We do appreciate people's enthusiasm for another 'Army Of Darkness,' but they should just wait until it's real. And I feel bad for people, because the internet is so prey to misinformation, it's unbelievable how much misinformation there is. So, I just encourage everybody get the real information, not just if you heard something."

Um, what if you heard it from Bruce Campbell? Should we listen to him or is he just a fountain of misinformation? A few days ago I suggested that we were never going to see an Army of Darkness sequel, mainly because Raimi was being flaky but also because this stuff comes up every few years with nothing ever happening. I'm even more convinced of it now.
