If you bother to look for her there are plenty of chances to see Rosario Dawson this month. This week she'll be appearing with Vanessa Hudgens in the indie drama, Gimme Shelter, a film that is receiving some solid buzz. And if you check out fight flick Raze (review of that here), she can be seen in a rather brutal cameo alongside a couple of her Death Proof co-stars. With Kevin Smith rounding up the returning cast for Clerks III, one who will definitely be coming back is Dawson as Becky Scott, the fiancé of lead slacker Dante Hicks.
When asked by Den of Geek about a Clerks III update, Dawson replied "He just confirmed that I'm in it!". When last we saw her character, she had just become engaged to Dante (Brian O'Halloran), but as of now we don't know where that relationships stands as details on the film are few. Jeff Anderson will definitely return as his pal and fellow underachiever, Randall, and there's sure to be room for Jay and Silent Bob. I remember thinking back then that she was too big of a star for Clerks II, but she ended up fitting right in.
Smith hopes to have the film ready by the Clerks 20th anniversary in 2014, and is aiming for a May start date.
