A nominee for last year's Palm d'Or at Cannes, there has been a lot of buzz building around
Borgman, a Dutch thriller that has been killing it on the festival circuit. Directed by Alex van
Warmerdam, the film has been compared to the unnerving work of Michael Haneke,
Funny Games in particular, and now a new trailer has been released that cements those comparisons as fact.
Starring Jan Bijvoet in what looks like a downright creepy performance in the title role, the film centers on a normal family who have their world devastated with the arrival of a drifter who insinuates himself into their lives.
Drafthouse Films will open
Borgman on June 6th.
