For months, the common wisdom has been that Guardians of the Galaxy would be Marvel's most challenging film to market yet. The team has no recognizable characters, an unproven lead in Chris Pratt, and there seems to be little connection to The Avengers members many are familiar with. Now that we've seen three straight Marvel movies break records and hit franchise highs, any concerns we may be on the verge of a let-down are disappearing, and a large part of the reason are clips like this one.
MTV has released what is sort of a trailer-clip combo, beginning with a look at the familiar scene between Chris Pratt's Star-Lord and Djimon Hounsou's Korath. From there it's a mash-up of action footage featuring the "bunch of a-holes".

Is there any way this film wasn't a blast for everyone to make? In fact, they're having so much fun that James Gunn has called the cast back in for some additional shooting, and part of that involves a major fight scene between Zoe Saldana's Gamora and Nebula, played by Karen Gillan. Gunn hit Instagram to give fans a look at the two ladies preparing for battle.
Guardians of the Galaxy opens August 1st.
