For Some Reason a 'Full House' Revival is On the Way

This is what all of you TV Land viewers hath wrought. Even though the show quit airing original episodes way back in 1995, Full House may be heading back to the small screen with nearly all of the cast coming back for another go' round. TV Guide says Warner Bros. is eying a new take on the family sitcom which starred Bob Saget, John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron, Lori Loughlin, Jodie Sweetin, and the Olsen Twins back when people still thought they were cute.

So why is this terrible idea happening?  The short answer is because audiences still love Full House. The show continues to perform well on Nick at Night, appealing to new and old viewers. Stamos has been chatty about wanting to bring the show back which makes sense considering he has an ownership stake in it..plus it gets him off lame commercials where he shills yogurt. So he's definitely on board and so are Cameron, Sweetin, and Andrea Barber who played the annoying neighbor, Kimmy. Saget and Coulier aren't confirmed to appear on screen but they are involved in some capacity. And what about those Olsens, who have done everything possible to put their Full House past in the rear view? Nothing yet but don't hold your breath expecting a comeback....at least not until sweeps.

It's probably safe to say the success of Girl Meets World, which is based on fellow 'TGIF' series Boy Meets World, has a lot to do with this effort. Perhaps other shows from the 'TGIF' era can also get misguided follow-ups? Family Matters? Hangin' with Mr. Cooper? Perfect Strangers? Who wouldn't want to see more Balki?
