Leighton Meester and Gillian Jacobs are 'Life Partners' in New Trailer

What happens when a new love threatens to break up a long-term friendship? Director Susanna Vogel used her friendship with co-writer Joni Lefkowitz as the inspiration for Life Partners, a new dramedy starring Leighton Meester and Gillian Jacobs. They play co-dependent best friends Sasha (Meester) and Paige (Jacobs) who see their bond tested when the latter hooks up with a new boyfriend played by Adam Brody, who happens to be Meester's real-life husband. But as the newly-released trailer shows, there's a lot more going on here than just some Yoko Ono situation with Brody threatening to break up the band. Sasha's sexuality plays a part in the brewing tension between the women and it looks to be depicted honestly and with a touch of humor.

Debuting at Tribeca to solid reviews, Life Partners is set to hit VOD on November 6th before opening theatrically December 5th. Check out the synopsis and trailer below.
