Jude Law will be hunting down Hitler's stash of gold in Black Sea, the new film from The Last King of Scotland director, Kevin MacDonald. The submarine thriller had looked like a potential Oscar season candidate but it will instead open in a couple of months, putting it in straight-up genre territory which is probably where it belongs. The film stars Law as a ship captain who puts together a motley crew to find sunken treasure, only to face mutiny from the men he hired.
The first clip from the film has been released and it has Law's ship captain explaining why their mission to find the gold isn't a waste of everybody's time. It also shows the first signs of unrest in the crew, a turmoil that is bound to boil over at some point.
Black Sea opens January 23rd 2015.
