Close-Up Look at the Millennium Falcon from 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'

While Disney's annual release pattern for the Star Wars franchise will do everything to make these event movies less-than-special, for now Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a pretty big deal. Every scrap of information, every rumor, like Aaron Paul possibly in a Han Solo spinoff, and every image is being consumed voraciously by fans, especially if they include any mention of Solo's favorite ship, the Millennium Falcon.

The teaser from a few weeks ago was exciting enough, but the image that got fans buzzing was the Millennium Falcon soaring into space. We've seen other shots of it in set pics and videos, and now the ship features in Fortune magazine for a story on Disney CEO Bob Iger. The story itself doesn't really even talk much about Star Wars, but at least we get a look at how the ol' ship is holding up.

I find it difficult to get excited about stuff like this, but some get a jolt out of looking for anything that may have changed. If you spot a difference between the old Falcon and this one, shoot me a line.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens December 18th 2015.
