For anyone who used to watch Inuyasha, you know that the anime finished way before the manga, which just ended last year, did. For those who miss the anime or want to catch up, Hulu has started airing the anime on its own channel.
I have just been informed that there will be a new Inuyasha, titled "Inuyasha Kenketsu-hen," anime that will pick up where the last one ended. It will start airing in the Fall, which I assume will be in Japan. However, Viz Media in the U.S. has already licensed it.
I know a few people who will be excited for this because all the manga got super interesting after the anime ended, and now it will be shown. I wonder if they can cast the same voice actors.
UPDATE: According to this, the original cast will be used. "In the 34th issue of Shonen Sunday, it was announced an anime adaption of volumes 36 to the end will be made by the original cast and crew and will air on Japan's YTV.[3] The following week, Viz Media announced it has licensed the new adaptation."
I'm still waiting for them to do a live-action Tenchi Muyo. :-)
