Signs of the Apocalypse: Ashton Kutcher and Justin Bieber buddy comedy??

I could probably lump Ashton Kutcher and Justin Bieber in the same boat. They both exist in a world I'd be all too happy to ignore, but their ballooning influence is making it more difficult. I must confess to never having heard a note of any Justin Bieber song outside of a movie soundtrack, but I still see the little runt everytime I flip on the TV. He's even irritating in small doses. The fact that his movie, Never Say Never, is the highest grossing concert film ever is a cause for concern as it only promises more movies to come.  As for Kutcher, I've been fortunate that most of his movies open so badly that they don't linger in theaters for very long. So if I want to avoid some crapola like Spread, I can. Unfortunately he also mixes in stuff like No Strings Attached which I can't ignore. But what if the two were to do a movie together? Would I be able to curb my natural curiosity and check it out, if only to see how awful it was? Looks like I'm about to find out.

The LA Times reports that the two are attached to star in What Would Kenny Do?, taken from the R-rated Black List script by Chris Baldi. Apparently that script has been rewritten(which really means dumbed down to PG-13 levels) by the guys behind 500 Days of Summer, although it's set to be reworked yet again with brand new writers and a director. Adding to the milquetoast celebrity stew is the fact that Will Smith is co-producing the film. Hey how 'bout that? Is there not a role somewhere in here for Jaden or Willow?

So what exactly is the story that could bring together two dynamic hairdos like Kutcher and Bieber? I guess it's sorta like 17 Again or something.  Bieber would play  "a teenager who meets a hologram claiming to be the adult version of himself; the hologram then helps guide the teen through high school."  I'm guessing you can figure out who Kutcher would be.

There's some time travel involved too, but do you really care? What do you think of Justin Bieber's future as an actor? What about Kutcher? Is this something that could maybe take his career to the next level, or completely alienate the fans he has?
