Red Band trailer for 'That's What She Said', starring Anne Heche

"Join 3 women on a quest for passion, and a very good vibrator." Yep, that appears to be the movie in a nutshell. A new red band trailer for That's What She Said has been released, the next directorial feature from director Carrie Preston, a great character actress who many will know as Arlene from HBO's True Blood. The film stars Anne Heche, Alia Shawkat, and Marcia DeBonis as three unbelievably horny women and their crazy misadventures in New York City.

We saw a green band trailer for this way back in January right before it debuted at Sundance, and my thought then was that it was basically one joke told repeatedly, with it never actually attaining the status of "funny" in any way. Despite the freedom the red band allows, the jokes haven't gotten any better, mostly revolving around the women talking about penises and where they can be found, or cheering the size of them. We do get to see Heche glory in her ability to have sex with gay men("They're men."), while occasionally taking a break to get dry humped by random old men. So that's at least mildly interesting. There's a very clear target audience for a film like this, and maybe they'll find something in it to appreciate. To me, this looks like one of those movies I'd like to avoid.

That's What She Said opens on October 19th....
