Sure Shots: 'Kick-Ass 2'; Jason Momoa; Lars Von Trier
* Brit actor/magician Andy Nyman(Severance) has taken a villainous turn in Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall. He'll play The Tumour, part of the evil heel team known as The Toxic Mega-Cunts, and causing havoc alongside the Red Mist(Christopher Mintz-Plasse). I don't remember the Tumour from the graphic novel, so either my memory has slipped(likely) or he's an all-new creation for the movie. Nyman joins Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Donald Faison, Lindy Booth, John Leguizamo, Robert Emms, Yancy Butler, and Morris Chestnut. Jeff Wadlow will direct based on Matthew Vaughn's script, and it hits theaters on June 28th 2013. [AndyNyman]
* Jason Momoa(Conan the Barbarian) will play the villain in Wolves, the directorial debut by X-men scribe, David Hayter. The werewolf thriller stars Lucas Till(X-Men: First Class) as an 18-year old boy accused of murdering his parents, who goes on the run and is drawn to the mysterious town of Lupine Ridge, where he begins to discover the truth behind his ancestry. Momoa will play the town werewolf patriarch. Also joining the cast is Merritt Patterson(Radio Rebel), playing a character named Angelina Timmins. Hayter has plans of turning Wolves into an original franchise. Momoa will be seen next kicking Sylvester Stallone's butt in Bullet to the Head. [Variety]
* So you thought the promise of performing real hardcore sex on-screen would stop Lars Von Trier from getting any big stars for his new film, Nymphomaniac? You couldn't have been more wrong. The two-part film, which will have a hardcore and softcore version, already has Von Trier regulars Charlotte Gainsbourg and Stellan Skarsgard set to star in the film about a woman's sexual exploits up until the age of 50. Shia LaBeouf joined earlier this month, with Nicole Kidman and Willem Dafoe possibly re-teaming with the infamous director again. Now you can also add Jamie Bell(Billy Elliott) and Connie Nielsen(One Hour Photo) to the cast, along with Jens Albinus , Shanti Roney, Severin von Hoensbroech, Nicolas Bro and Jesper Christensen. Filming begins this week, so we'll probably be seeing this one on the festival circuit next year. [THR]
