Ok, before you go any further on this, let me warn you that this first clip from Star Trek Into Darkness is very very short. Like an eye blink. It's literally three frames long, which Abrams presented last night to Conan O'Brien, and they both had a good deal of fun joking about all of us who are foaming at the mouth waiting to see what the film looks like. In any case, it's apparently Spock(Zachary Quinto) in a weird suit walking through a volcano. It starts at the 1:51 mark so check it out below....
Did you get all that? As you can see by the above image, Conan was right that nerds were going to find a way to freeze frame it so they can spend the weekend analyzing every lick of fire and every glisten off the suit. It'd be nice if Abrams could have...y'know, maybe told us who in the heck Benedict Cumberbatch's villain is or something, since the movie is done filming and all. But nooooo....just more jokes at our expense.
Anyway, Star Trek Into Darkness opens on May 17th 2013.
