Trailer for 'Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama Bin Laden'

You think Harvey Weinstein gives two craps if some oily politician thinks he's trying to influence the Presidential election with his movies? *snort* Of course not, which is why he has the stones to release a movie titled Seal Team Six: The Raid On Osama Bin Laden just two days before voting begins. I love Harvey's brass, even if the newly released trailer looks like junk.

The film clearly covers the exact same ground as Kathryn Bigelow's Zero Dark Thirty, but with John Stockwell(Turistas, Into the Blue) behind the camera it looks like a cheap knock-off. The cast of B-list celebs and barely recognizable faces doesn't help. Cam Gigandet, Kathleen Robertson(Splendor), Freddie Rodriguez, Xzibit, Anson Mount, William Fichtner, Eddie Kaye Thomas, and Kenneth Miller aren't going to drive anybody to the National Geographic Channel to see this one.

That's right, this isn't a theatrical release. Instead, the film will premier on NatGeo, who worked with the Weinsteins to tweak the film for the TV audience. Bigelow moved her film to December after all the controversy hit, so Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama Bin Laden will make the first impression when it airs on November 4th. Wouldn't this be more appropriate for The History Channel? Or The Military Channel with R. Lee Ermey hosting? Just sayin'. Check out the trailer below.....[Deadline]
