New posters for 'The Hangover Part III', 'Star Trek Into Darkness', and 'The Purge'

The party began in Vegas, then took us to the dangerous streets of Bangkok, and now it all comes full circle in The Hangover Part III. Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, and Ed Helms are back to wrap up the hit comedy trilogy, and at least according to director Todd Phillips, the Wolfpack will face challenges unlike anything they've faced before. Warner Bros. has been pretty laid back in hyping the film, largely because they don't really need to do anything at this point, but they've just released two new posters for the May 24th release. One shows the "super friendly" giraffe we've been seeing in trailers. The other features a not-so cuddly John Goodman as the film's villain.

J.J. Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness opens a couple of days early in IMAX 3D, and Paramount Pictures has decided to celebrate it with this awesome new poster. The image features the Starship Enterprise in pitched battle against the mysterious Dreadnought-class warship. We've seen the Enterprise take some heavy damage in the trailers, and there's every reason to believe this may be the cause of it. Star Trek Into Darkness opens in IMAX on May 15th, then everywhere else on May 17th.

"All emergency services will be suspended" during The Purge, an inventive, high-concept horror starring Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey. Directed by James DeMonaco, the film sees Hawke reteaming with his Sinister producers for a home-invasion horror with a unique twist. With violent crime at an all-time high, the government institutes what is known as "The Purge", a 12-hour event in which all penalties for the most heinous criminal acts are suspended. The new law allows the people to get out all of the pent-up anger and rage accumulated throughout the year, without fear of repercussion. During one "Purge" a family who allowed a stranger to seek shelter in their home must defend themselves against killers just outside their door. Believe me, you want to check this film out when it arrives on June 7th, and look out for my interview with producer Jason Blum.
