New red band trailer for 'Pineapple Express 2'.....??

Well...it certainly looks like a trailer for Pineapple Express 2. If it were playing in a theater, there would probably be some folks excited enough to light one up so that it smelled like a sequel to the hit stoner comedy. But this is April Fool's Day, and while the Internet is awash in fake trailers and goof news stories, perhaps it's wise to be cautious?



Sorry, folks! James Franco, Seth Rogen, and Danny McBride took the opportunity to tease a Pineapple Express sequel, but it's really just a clever and fun promo for their apocalyptic romp, This Is the End. Co-directed by Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the film basically rounds up the entire Judd Apatow gang, tosses in Emma Watson and Rihanna, with each playing versions of themselves as the world goes to Hell. If anything, this shows the hilarious depths they're going to go while trapped in Franco's crib.

This Is the End opens on June 14th.
