New images from James Franco's 'As I Lay Dying'

The Cannes Film Festival is right around the corner, which means it's time for another of James Franco's experimental ventures behind the camera. This next, rather ambitious project that likely few will see is an adaptation of William Faulkner's As I Lay Dying. The first image dropped just last week, and now a handful more have emerged featuring more of the impressive cast he's assembled.

Franco stars alongside Danny McBride, Logan Marshall-Green (aka baby Tom Hardy), Ahna O'Reilly, Jim Parrack, and Tim Blake Nelson, but the real question is how exactly he's approaching Faulkner's material. The novel encompasses 15 different narrators and a whopping 59 chapters in telling the story of a dying Mississippi woman's final wish to be buried in another town, and her family's troubled journey to fulfill the request.

No release date for this one yet, but it'll play at Cannes later this month.
