Teaser for Mystery J.J. Abrams Project 'Stranger'

If there's one thing we know to expect from JJ Abrams and Bad Robot, it's that nothing comes without a certain degree of mystery. He's proven to be quite adept at keeping a shroud over every project, even massive productions like Star Trek and the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII. And now he's proving just how good a keeper of secrets he is again by releasing a teaser trailer for an unknown mystery project. And nope, it has nothing to do with Star Wars.

Titled Stranger, and with its stylish black and white color scheme looking like a Sin City spinoff, the teaser shows a man stumbling through the rain-soaked night, only to have it be revealed that his mouth is all stitched up. Nearly two years ago, Abrams agreed to produce a secretive project from screenwriter Billy Ray (Shattered Glass), that was described as a "mysterious adventure", and this would seem to fit the bill. Or it could be something completely different, like a TV or Internet series that has gone unannounced. We'll just have to wait and see.
