Kristen Wiig Joins Owen Wilson and Zach Galifianakis for Crime Comedy

Long in the works and once with Jim Carrey set for a lead role, the crime comedy formerly known as Loomis Fargo is still putting the cast together. Owen Wilson and Zach Galifianakis are on board with Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite) set to direct, and now another piece of the puzzle is in place with the addition of Kristen Wiig.

Wiig will star in the heist caper which is based on the true events surrounding  "four dim-witted Southerners who pulled off one of the biggest heists in American history, robbing almost $20 million from a Loomis Fargo armored truck." Wiig will play a workplace crush, just as she did in 'Walter Mitty', only her character is more devious. She charms Galifianakis to get involved with a bank vault robbery by promising him a future hook-up she has no intention of following through on.

Filming begins in July. [THR]
