Quentin Tarantino's 'The Hateful Eight' Back On For November Shoot

“I have calmed down a bit from the knife in the back. The wound is starting to scab.”

Quentin Tarantino was justifiably upset when his script for western The Hateful Eight was leaked, leading to lawsuits and lots of harsh words from the director, not to mention the plan for it his next project going by the wayside.  But since then he's held a live read of the script with a celebrity cast, all for a good charitable cause, and has dropped the lawsuit. Things have gone so well that Tarantino began writing new drafts, and rumors began to surface he might eventually return to the project, and that seems to be exactly what is happening.

Showbiz411 say The Hateful Eight is back in the works with a November shoot in Wyoming planned. Tarantino will bring back the cast of the live reads which includes Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Dern, Michael Madsen, Kurt Russell, James Remar, Amber Tamblyn, Walt Goggins, Tim Roth, and Zoe Bell.  Left out out of the mix is Christoph Waltz, the two-time Oscar winner who was said to have a role written specifically for him. No word on why Waltz isn't part of the cast but we can assume it has to do with scheduling.

No word on if he still plans to publish it as a novel. The story, according to those who attended the read, takes place post-Civil War and follows a mistrustful and dangerous group stranded in a town saloon after a blizzard forces their stagecoach off route.
