Tim Robbins in Green Lantern

THR's Heatvision blog is reporting that Tim Robbins(The Shawshank Redemption, Mystic River) has been cast in Martin Campbell's upcoming big budget superhero flick, Green Lantern. Robbins will be playing the father of the film's villain, Doctor Hector Hammond, played by Peter Saarsgard.

Green Lantern really seems to be on a role now, with shooting scheduled to begin in March. The film is due to be released on June 17, 2011.
