Sure Shots: The Hobbit; Marvel Superheroes; Spider-Man reboot

Quickly...

*Theonering.net is pushing a rumor that Neil Blomkamp(District 9) is going to be the man to take over for Guillermo Del Toro as director of The Hobbit. Their article is actually sortof humorous, as they practically break their own necks to tell us it's a rumor then go about writing five paragraphs detailing why it's fact. Personally, I don't see it, and their "evidence" is highly suspect.

* LatinoReview is reporting that sources within Marvel Studios/Disney are looking to bring back the 10 minute short movies before their feature films. They'd use the shorts to introduce viewers to low-level Marvel superhero characters such as Dr. Strange, Luke Cage, Moon Knight, Sleepwalker...ok, maybe not Sleepwalker. Nothing as to when this experiment will begin or which characters will be first. I'm betting some time after The Avengers. A Longshot short would kick so much arse.

*Looks like Josh Hutcherson is going to do everything he can to snag that prime role as Peter Parker in the Spider-Man reboot. His name has been at the top of the list for weeks alongside a few others(notably Jamie Bell). The only thing holding his signing back is his commitment to a Journey to the Center of the Earth sequel. Hutcherson and his lawyer are said to be looking for any angle possible to get out of that deal, because who wants to make two bad Brendan Fraser movies in a row if you can avoid it?
