After all the production problems, directors bailing out, and Sony's general dislike for the film's tone, they've finally released the first trailer for The Green Hornet, starring Seth Rogen and Cameron Diaz. I'll be honest, I have no hope for this being any sort of good at all, but I liked parts of the trailer. The stuff with Rogen trying to figure out who he wants to be after his father's death looks like it could be decent. The action sequences are slick but nothing in particular stands out. What doesn't work already are the jokes, which land with a thud. And call me crazy but does this not look like a Michel Gondry movie at all? It's very plain.
