* Just two days ago we had the story that the long in deveopment big screen version of Voltron was dead and buried. Forget I said anything. Richard Suckle and Ted Koplar, producers on the project, have confirmed that not only is Voltron not dead, but they'll be bringing in a new screenwriter and starting over from scratch, with plans to have the film done and in theaters by summer 2013. Good luck with that. On a side note: How come you never see anybody wanting to remake the Voltron that was made up of cars? It wasn't THAT bad.
* A couple of important Batman 3 rumors, and I stress the word RUMORS. The one that has me excited are the whisperings that Joseph Gordon-Levitt(The Lookout
) could possibly be the man to play The Riddler in Christoper Nolan's sequel. None of this is confirmed at all, but it makes some sense. I'm pretty much convinced that JGL can play anybody, and he's played his fair share of oddball characters. He's got the look, that's for sure, and he'll be starring in Nolan's next film Inception in just a few weeks. The other part of the story comes from the LA Times, who mentioned out of nowhere that shooting on Batman 3 begins in March 2012. That definitely isn't confirmed. There's no script as of yet. No plot details. Zip zero zilch nada naught nothing. Doesn't mean the Times is wrong, it's just sorta suspect right now. * WOLVERINE!!!!!!! Looks like the kids are going to have to keep the Chinese at bay a little bit longer, as MGM's pitiful financial situation could be claiming another victim. After already losing Guillermo Del Toro from The Hobbit, now it's looking like Red Dawn could be the next victim. The LA Times is reporting that the remake of the patriotic 1984 original won't hit the November 24th, 2010 release date. Filming has been wrapped for some time, but if MGM's money situation doesn't improve we might not ever see the finished product.
