Mark Ruffalo in Talks to play The Hulk!

Deadline is reporting that Mark Ruffalo(The Kids are All Right, The Brothers Bloom) is in final talks to take on the role of Bruce Banner aka The Hulk in The Avengers. He'd be replacing Ed Norton, who Marvel decided not to bring back because he doesn't have enough team spirit or something. Not enough spirit fingers, Eddie!

I'm a big fan of Ruffalo, although he'd be the last person I'd expect to play Banner. Then again, I couldn't have seen Norton in the role either until he did it. That's kindof the point of the entire Banner character in that he's a pretty unassuming guy.....until you piss him off.
