Twilight actor joins X-men: First Class

From a bloodthirsty vamp to a mutant with limitless abilities. Edi Gathegi, who played the evil vampire Laurent in the first twoTwilight films, has signed on to Matthew Vaughn's X-men: First Class. He'll be taking on the role of a relatively new mutant, Darwin. Darwin was introduced just a few years ago in X-men: Deadly Genesis, a Marvel comics miniseries revealing an as yet unknown class of students taught by Professor Charles Xavier. 

Darwin's mutant power gives him the ability to adapt to literally any situation. If he's underwater, he'll grow gills. If he's in the vacuum of space, he forms the ability to go without air. If he's hit by a car, his body might turn to steel to deflect the blow. He's a mutant who can do anything.  Darwin is currently a member of the mutant private detective agency, X-Factor.
