Killers
Perhaps more incredible than the incredibly bad script is the stunning lack of chemistry between Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher, two of Hollywood's most attractive stars. Both provide the unique ability to make shoot outs, a glamorous locale or two, and even Tom Selleck's mustache totally devoid of entertainment value. With that said, Heigl is still pretty nice to look at, but you can feel her straining to get the stilted dialogue out of her throat. This one is for the Kutcher completists only, as the actor not only stars but co-produced.
Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam
I have no idea what a Camp Rock is. Is it a place or a description of Jonas Brother music? Whatever the case, if there's a reason to come within earshot of this musical it's because Alyson Stoner(Step Up series) is involved. In what capacity I have no idea.
Solitary Man
Look at Solitary Man as a combination of Wonder Boys
MacGruber
It's easy to dismiss MacGruber as a one-joke SNL skit stretched to fit a theatrical length. Well, that's exactly what it is, but what if that one joke is really funny? MacGruber has been savaged by critics who I think are overlooking three really hilarious performances by Wiig, Forte, and Phillippe. The reason why MacGruber is the best SNL film yet? It knows exactly how silly it is. Now ask me if I'd pay to see a sequel.
That Evening Sun
Hal Holbrook stars with his late wife, Dixie Carter(Designing Women) in this charming story of a guy who escapes the nursing home he's been abandone at, and makes the long trek to reclaim his family farm.
Final Destination Collection
To a certain segment of horror fans, I've no doubt that Final Destination must seem like a modern day classic. It's been around longer than it has any right to have been, each flick in the series growing more gruesome than the last. Now you can see just how gruesome(and silly) they got with this 4-Pack. The price alone is pretty much irresistable, and getting a chance to see my girl Ali Larter in the first two films is always priceless.
Ghosts Don't Exist
With the documentary structure and spiritually shaky lead character, Ghosts Don't Exist could be considered a cousin of Eli Roth's The Last Exorcism. Only don't expect the same level of scares and blood. Filmed right here in Virginia by director Eric Espejo(co-produced by Chris Cooley of the Washington Redskins, who makes an appearance as well), the film will have you checking your closets before bed each night.
