Sure Shots: Ghost Rider 2; Ben Affleck; Men In Black 3

* Eva who? Violante Placido, who played one of the two stunning beauties alongside George Clooney in The American is in talks to join Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. Also negotiating for a role as The Devil himself is Ciaran Hinds, who most will recognize from Munich, and as Julius Caesar in HBO's Rome. Nicolas Cage is of course reprising his role as Johnny Blaze.  I'm still hoping to see Dan Ketch written into the script somewhere.

* The offers continue to roll in for Ben Affleck after the rave reviews for The Town. Now he's been offered a shot at directing Tales of the Gangster Squad, based on a series of LA Times newspaper articles about a team of LAPD cops established to with an influx of mafia figures from the east coast in the 1940s. Sounds like The Untouchables. The Untouchables = the awesome. I'm digging this already whether Affleck directs or not.

* Emma Thompson(Nanny McPhee) has reportedly signed on to Barry Sonnenfeld's Men in Black 3-D. What I thought would end up being more of a cameo appearance turns out to be a big one as Deadline reports she'll be playing Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones's boss. I hope that's not all. Maybe she'll sprout an extra head or something.
