After all the fits and starts due to MGM's financial woes, Bond 23 has finally been greenlit. MGM made it official via a short press release, announcing Sam Mendes(Jarhead) as the director like everyone knew and expected. They even nailed down a release date of November 9th 2012.
Daniel Craig will be back to reprise his role as the smooth talking secret agent.
I still think of Mendes as an oddball choice to direct, but I hated Quantum of Solace so maybe a change is exactly what is needed.
