James Franco: Pornographer

Who would've thought Linda Lovelace would be so friggin' popular all of a sudden? But that's how these things work in Hollywood. With two flicks currently in development right now centering around the Deep Throat star, one of them could be about to get a serious injection of star power, as it's being reported that James Franco is circling the role of Lovelace's douchebag husband Chuck Traynor in the biopic helmed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman.

Franco has worked with the pair before on the Allen Ginsberg biopic, Howl. While that role was challenging in itself, Traynor is a whole other ball of wax. According to a lie detector test Lovelace gave to the police, Traynor forced her into both prostitution and porn, forcing her to perform in the film Deep Throat at gunpoint. He kept the little bit of money she made from the film, and abused her until the end of their brief marriage. A real prize.

The film would be based on Eric Danville's book, The Complete Linda Lovelace, with Kate Hudson currently attached to the title role. Nothing has been signed as of yet as the financing has yet to be secured, but if Franco does indeed join up you better believe the dollars will be flying their way.
