Tops at the Box Office

1. True Grit- $15M/$110M
What the heck? You mean people weren't running out to see Season of the Witch over the new year? Pfeh! Perfect for the Coen Brothers, who saw their gritty western film overtake Little Fockers FINALLY, continuing to cement it's place as the most successful film of the genre in nearly 20 years.
2. Little Fockers- $13.8M/$124M
The only good thing I can say about this is that it's not making as much money as Meet the Fockers, meaning at least some people learned their lesson and stayed away.
3. Season of the Witch- $10.7M
A January stinker performing better than expected, 'Witch' was the only brand new national release of the week. While $10.7M isn't awful, it's still $7M below Cage's most recent starring film, last year's The Sorcerer's Apprentice.
4. Tron Legacy- $9.8M/$148M
Continues to thrive, only dipping 6% from last week.
5. Black Swan- $8.35M/$61.5M
That's one hell of a total for a film that won't surpass 2000 theaters until next week, just in time for the Awards blitz.
6. Country Strong- $7.3M/$7.44M
It's off to a better start than the similarly themed Crazy Heart, but that film opened nationally at only 800 theaters. The audience for this Gwyneth Paltrow-led country musical was overwhelmingly female at roughly 71%.
7. The Fighter- $7M/$57.8M
8. The King's Speech- $6.81M/$33.3M
9. Yogi Bear- $6.81M/$75.6M
10. Tangled- $5.2M/$176M
