I might not have been the biggest fan of Gareth Edwards' small budget creature feature, Monsters, but its catapulted him into some major gigs(such as the Godzilla revamp) and now even the actors are reaping the benefits. Scoot McNairy, who I thought was the best part of Monsters, has just scored a lead role in Andrew Dominik's Cogan's Trade. He'll be joining an already insane cast including Brad Pitt, Richard Jenkins, Ray Liotta, James Gandolfini, and Sam Rockwell.
Deadline has the story, noting that McNairy is also up for a prime role in Ridley Scott's Prometheus, and also as Josh Speed in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
