Sure Shots: The Crow; Conan/Red Sonja; Lindsay Lohan's next film?

* Rumors about The Crow relaunch have proven to be as mercurial as the spirit itself.  Back in October the entire film appeared to be in jeopardy as Stephen Norrington(Blade) was unceremoniously dumped from the project.  At the time the reason was speculated to have something to do with Mark Wahlberg, who had been offered the lead role. As far as I can tell that was never actually confirmed so we'll just leave it at that.  Word now is that two names have been added to the list of potential directors:  Juan Carlos Fresnadillo(28 Weeks Later) and F. Javier Gutiérrez. I wish they'd just kill the entire idea, personally.

* Even though the Jason Momoa-starring Conan the Barbarian doesn't hit theaters until August, producer Avi Lerner has already set plans for the sequel. He notes that filming on Red Sonja, directed by Simon West and possibly starring Amber Heard(!!!) will take place in between Conan and Conan 2. I'm hoping for the best on all fronts.

* While she battles to not be forced to trade cigarettes for her life in prison, Lindsay Lohan is trying to secure potential work. No, I'm not talking about Superman(those rumors arent dead yet), but Escaping the Game, which has a plot that sounds like it was ripped from a future Lohan playbook. The film revolves around troubled celebrities who fake their own deaths and escape to a remote island to live a simpler life. No, she wouldn't be one of these failed stars, she'd actually be an investigator trying to locate them. Say wha??
