Sure Shots: Giovanni Ribisi; Gerard Butler; Arrested Development

* Seth McFarlane's obnoxious teddy bear flick, Ted,  just got a little more interesting. Giovanni Ribisi(Avatar) has joined the comedy, opposite Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis. He'll star as a guy who becomes obsessed with Wahlberg's living teddy bear pal.

* Remember Gerard Butler? Yeah, me neither. The formerly cool macho dude from flicks like Rocknrolla and 300 has just signed on to another awful looking rom-com, Playing the Field, which sees him as a former soccer pro who agrees to coach his son's team. He'll be fending off soccer moms left and right, most notably those played by Jessica Biel and Uma Thurman.  Ugh.  Adding fuel to this terrible fire is the presence of director Gabriele Muccino(The Pursuit of Happyness, Seven Pounds).

* Now that he's shown us how to get a great sitcom cancelled, Arrested Development creator Mitchell Hurwitz is turning his attention to the big screen. However it won't be a theatrical version of that great comedy like we all want, instead it'll be a remake of Lars Von Trier's 2007 film, The Boss of It All. Sounds like an odd fit? The story involves an employer who creates a fictional boss so that he doesn't take the blame for firing his employees. Thanks to The Wrap for breaking this story.
