Bryan Singer names his Jack the Giant Killer princess

Bryan Singer's been working like a mad man lately. Not only has he been pumping up X-men: First Class(which he produced), but he's been feverishly casting for his upcoming directorial effort, Jack the Giant Killer. The last couple of weeks have seen a majority of the cast pinned down.  Nicholas Hoult(A Single Man) will be Jack, the giant slaying hero of the story.  Bill Nighy and John Kassir will be the two-headed leader of the giants, while Stanley Tucci will be a villainous advisor to the king, while Ewan McGregor is the king's head of security.  Only two major roles remained, and the most visible of those just got filled as Eleanor Tomlinson(Alice in Wonderland) will play Princess Isabella in the film.

Tomlinson is a relatively unknown face to most, with her most recognizable role being the younger version of Jessica Biel's character in The Illusionist. This is by far the biggest gig she's earned yet, beating out other young actresses like Juno Temple and Lily Collins.  As the princess of this darker version of the classic fairy tale, her kidnapping by the giants leads to a war between them and the humans who come to her rescue.

Deadline has more on this story, which you can read here.
