Dreamworks announces animation schedule; How to Train Your Dragon 2 in June 2014

Dreamworks is going to be hella busy over the next few years. Of course they'll be continuing their fist fight with perennial frontrunner, Pixar, but there are new challengers o the animation throne all of the time(lookin' at you, ILM!).  I like the things they've done recently, and it could be argued that Dreamworks had the better animated slate last year. This year could prove to be the same with Kung Fu Panda 2 going head-to-head with Cars 2. That's not all they've got in store, though, as the studio has released their full schedule of animated releases for the next few years. Check those out below, along with who'll be starring and directing.  Thanks to The FilmStage and Slashfilm for the heads up!

Kung Fu Panda 2 for May 26th 2011
Directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson- featuring the voices of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Seth Rogen

Puss in Boots for November 4th 2011
Directed by Chris Miller-featuring the voices of Antonio Banderas and Zach Galifianakis

Madagascar 3 for June 8, 2012
Directed by Eric Darnell, written by Noah Baumbach(that still shocks me)

Rise of the Guardians for November 21, 2012
Directed by Peter Ramsay and William Joyce, exec-produced by Guillermo Del Toro

The Croods for March 1, 2013
written/directed by Chris Sanders and Kirk Demicco- featuring Nicolas Cage and Emma Stone

Turbo for June 7, 2013
Directed by David Soren

Me and My Shadow for November 8, 2013
Directed by Mark Dindal(Chicken Run)

Mr. Peabody & Sherman for March 21, 2014
Directed by Rob Minkoff, based on the Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon characters

How to Train Your Dragon 2 for June 20, 2014
Written/Directed by Dean Deblois-features Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, America Ferrera, and Jonah Hill

Obviously, How to Train Your Dragon is the big daddy here, but the two I'm most looking forward to are Rise of the Guardians(based on Joyce's novel) and Mr. Peabody & Sherman because I'm a Bullwinkle geek at heart.
