Summit preps Top Cow comic, Crosshair, for the big screen

Crosshair, the Top Cow comic written by Jeff Katz and Marc Silvestri, is about to be picked up by Summit Entertainment for a move to the big screen.  Both will be on board as producers, along with David Manpearl, Matt Hawkins, David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman(The Fighter). The deal isn't signed yet but appears to be imminent. The rights were initially scooped up during last year's Comic-Con by Mandeville, with plans for Jeff Foel to draft a script.

The plot centers around a retired CIA agent, now turned suburban dad who must race agains the clock to prevent a program inside his brain from turning him into a killing machine.  His mission would be to assassinate the President of the United States.

Why do I care about a little known comic book property that I've never once read a page of? Because until I find out exactly what comic book character Arnold Schwarzenegger is "packaging" I'm going to speculate about anything that appears to be a good fit.

Thanks to THR for the details on this story.
