Nathan Lane and Robert Emms join Tarsem's Snow White film
While Universal continues to flounder in it's search for a lead in Snow White and the Huntsman, Relativity and Tarsem Singh(The Fall) have been moving right along with their still untitled version of the fairy tale. They've already gathered a fantastic cast with Julia Roberts, Armie Hammer, and Lily Collins, and now they've just added veteran comedic actor Nathan Lane(The Birdcage) and Robert Emms into the fold.
Lane will play Brighton, the servant to the evil queen(Roberts). Expect that role to be small but very vocal and showy, if Lane's past performances are to be any measure. Emms is a newbie who has yet to make his feature debut, but he'll be appearing in Roland Emmerich's Shakespeare conspiracy flick, Anonymous, as well as Steven Spielberg's War Horse. In Snow White he'll be Prince Alcott's(Hammer) valet, Renbock.
Relativity currently has Snow White penciled in for a June 29th, 2012 release.
