Stanley Tucci cast in The Hunger Games as Caesar Flickerman

After being rumored to be up for a role in The Hunger Games, Lionsgate has come out and announced that Stanley Tucci has been cast as Caesar Flickerman in Gary Ross's adaptation of Suzanne Collins' novel. Tucci joins a rapidly expanding cast that already includes Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Paula Malcomson, Wes Bentley, and about two dozen other young actors. 

Caesar Flickerman is the popular, energetic celebrity host of the Hunger Games, known for wearing flashy outfits and looking heavily made up, he's also very good at interviewing the Tributes and making them "shine". It's not a role I would've pegged for Tucci, thinking he'd make a much better President Snow.

So that leaves a handful of other really important roles left. There's Cinna, Katniss and Peeta's stylist; the seemingly evil President Snow; and two of the most important Tributes, Cato and Clove.
