. He'll play an American soldier who tries to alert the authorities that the zombie threat is legit. Doesn't sound like a big role, but it's hard to tell. Brad Pitt is set to star as a UN researcher investigating the war after the fact. Anthony Mackie is also set for an unspecified role.* I have to give Jeremy Renner credit. The guy isn't holding his breath for a second in making sure his face stays out there. That probably comes from toiling away in anonymity for so long. With like a half dozen projects on the horizon, Renner started his own production company a few weeks ago, and it looks like he's found his first project for it. He's looking to produce and star in Slingshot, a sports drama based on the true life story of Bill Caswell. Caswell raced in the World Rally Championships in Mexico against professional race car drivers in a $500 BMW he bought online. [Variety]
