By nearly all accounts,the Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance panel at Comic-Con was a success. Funny since when it was announced nobody could believe it was even happening, and a lot of folks(myself included) were whining over the absence of Eva Mendes. Hey, the first film sucked but at least we had something to look at! We know what to expect out of Nic Cage, reprising his role as Johnny Blaze, posessed by the flame-headed spirit of Ghost Rider. So what exactly is the draw that's making people change their minds? Likely it's the presence of the Crank directing duo of Neveldine/Taylor, bringing their chaotic style and placing it squarely in the darkest corners of the Marvel Universe.
TheFilmStage has scanned a few new images of the film, coming from that bountiful source Empire Magazine. They give us our first looks at Nicolas Cage, both as Blaze and Ghost Rider
. And we also get a glimpse at the man of the moment, Idris Elba as a character named Moreau.
