New Dredd images, including Olivia Thirlby as Judge Anderson

Our homie Brendon Connelly(gotta have you back on the show, man!!) over at Bleeding Cool(via 2000AD) has provided a few new images of Dredd, courtesy of the latest issue of Empire. Most of these consist of more shots of Karl Urban as massive helmeted law officer, Judge Dredd. But they also provide our first look at Olivia Thirlby(Juno) as psychic partner, Judge Anderson.

After some initial hesitation I'm starting to come around to the look Pete Travis(Vantage Point) is achieving. It's insantly harder, darker than the lame Sylvester Stallone film. Judge for yourself below...

I really need to see this in action, and I hope we'll be getting a red band trailer or something soon. Definitely red band. I want ultra violence coming out of this camp. 
After being the best part of Juno, I'm happy to see Olivia Thirlby jumping into something high profile again. She's been great in a number of mature roles over the last few years(Solitary Man, The Wackness, Snow Angels), but this looks like a smart change of pace. She'll also be appearing in the alien invasion flick, The Darkest Hour.

Dredd is set to hit theaters next year on September 21st!
