Interview: Octavia Spencer and Tate Taylor of 'The Help'

Spencer on the red carpet
Travis recently had the opportunity to sit down for a roundtable interview with actress Octavia Spencer of the amazing new film The Help. Spencer, who has over 90 film credits, built a solid reputation for being a scene stealing personality in each of her films whether she had one line or a hundred. The day's of one line performances look to be far behind her as she shines in what is sure to be a highly acclaimed performance. Spencer stars as Minny Jackson in this film about Skeeter Phelean (Emma Stone), an aspiring writer and daughter of an affluent white family. Phelean wants to write a book exposing the mistreatment of African American maids in 1960's Jackson, Mississippi. She plans to document life through the eyes of Minny and another maid named Abilene played by the brilliant Viola Davis. An eye opening film that makes you wonder how anyone, much less an entire society, could live in such ignorance (or perhaps that's arrogance) that they would mistreat and belittle people who are raising their children, cooking their meals, keeping their company every day and by all outside eyes are part of the family.

The interview is embeded below, my apologies for the video quality we are working on a better looking solution.
