Tetro star joins Park Chan-Wook's Stoker

Stoker is starting to look like it may be one of the best films of 2012. It certainly has a wealth of talent involved, starting from South Korean director Park Chan-Wook(Thirst, Oldboy), and writer Wentworth Miller(Prison Break). The film follows a teenage girl who has her life turned around with the arrival of a mysterious uncle not long after her father's death. Strange things start happening in town which may or may not be her uncle's doing.

On the acting side, while Colin Firth dropped out a few weeks ago, the rest of the cast is one hell of a coup for Chan-Wook's english language debut. Mia Wasikowska, Nicole Kidman, Jacki Weaver, and Lucas Till added just yesterday. Now another fast rising star, Alden Ehrenreich, has joined the cast.

I would say that Ehrenreich is best known for his starring role in Francis Ford Coppola's underrated familial drama, Tetro, but chances are you didn't see it anyway. It's a great film, and Ehrenreich is very good, and charismatic, in the lead. He'll be seen next in Coppola's goth horror, Twixt.  In Stoker he'll play Whip Taylor, a friend of India, Wasikowska's character.
