Trailer Time: Drive, starring Ryan Gosling and Albert Brooks

Earlier today I had a chance to sit down and talk to Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn about his new film, Drive. After spending years crafting super stylized arthouse action flicks like Bronson and Valhalla Rising, Drive has dominated the festival circuit and looks to be Refn's big Hollywood breakout. It doesn't hurt that his kindred spirit, Ryan Gosling, is the face of the film, and if I do say so myself he gives a performance that has the electricity of Steve McQueen.

The film has Gosling as a mechanic and stunt racer who moonlights as a wheelman for criminal types. When a job goes bad, he must fight to protect not only himself but the people he cares about from a violent end. Carey Mulligan, Albert Brooks, Bryan Cranston, Oscar Isaac, Christina Hendricks, and Ron Perlman co-star.

A new trailer has been released and it isn't all that different than some of the others we've seen. Although what this one does maybe a bit better than the others is give you a sense of the haunting soundtrack, particularly the main track "Nightcall" from French artist, Kavinsky. Albert Brooks is pretty damn menacing in this clip too.  Check it out below...

Look for our interview with Refn in the coming weeks, right around the time Drive hits theaters on September 16th!
