With all the names we've heard rumored to be joining Tom Hooper's remake of Les Miserables, the only ones confirmed as of now are Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe. Well one of those that has been mentioned for the last few months has been confirmed, as Anne Hathaway will take on the role of Fantine.
With filming set to kick off before the end of the year, we'll likely hear more confirmations in the coming days. Geoffrey Rush, Helna Bonham Carter, Emma Watson, and Hayden Panettiere have all been mentioned as possibilities to join the musical adaptation.
Les Miserables has set up camp in the heart of Oscar season, due to release on December 7th 2012. Hathaway will be seen next in tight leather as Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises. [Deadline]
